This hidden gem offers a peaceful urban escape. Great for walking, biking, and spotting wildlife, Sand Creek Trail winds through Southeast neighborhoods and connects our community to nature and each other.

Why these places matter:
Panorama Park
One of the largest neighborhood park renovations in Colorado Springs, Panorama Park is a shining example of what’s possible when a community comes together. Enjoy skateboarding, sports fields, nature play areas, and cultural art installations that celebrate Southeast pride.
Meadows Park Community Center
Meadows Park brings the outdoors and education together through creative programming, open spaces, and strong community ties. It’s a place where exploration meets belonging — and where Southeast youth can grow better, outside.
The Beach House
A beloved summer gathering space with water features, shade structures, and plenty of room for kids to run and explore. A hub for outdoor play and family-friendly events during the warmer months.
We believe that access to outdoor spaces and trusted community centers improves health, fosters connection, and creates lifelong stewards of the environment. By highlighting these locations, we hope to make it easier for families to explore what's just outside their front door.
Our Network
Generation Wild isn’t just a movement, it’s a network of communities across Colorado, including right here in the Pikes Peak Region. Together, these 12 communities are working to make the outdoors more accessible for everyone by breaking down barriers that keep kids and families from getting outside.
With support from Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO), each community brings together a coalition of local organizations to create safe, welcoming places to play, explore, and connect with nature. From outdoor programs for all ages and abilities to community gear libraries where you can borrow equipment for your next adventure, Generation Wild communities are making it easier than ever to get out and grow wild.
