Fountain Creek Watershed District
Fountain Creek Watershed, Flood Control, and Greenway District works to protect and enhance the health of the Fountain Creek watershed — a vital network of creeks, streams, and wetlands that flows from the base of Pikes Peak through Colorado Springs and south to Pueblo. The district focuses on flood control, water quality, wildlife habitat, and sustainable recreation, ensuring this natural resource remains healthy for people and wildlife alike.
As part of the Generation Wild of the Pikes Peak Region Coalition, the Fountain Creek Watershed District offers educational programs, volunteer opportunities, and community events that connect kids and families to the importance of water in our environment. From creek cleanups to nature walks, these activities inspire stewardship and encourage hands-on learning about the waterways that sustain our communities.
