Mile High Youth Corps

Mile High Youth Corps (MHYC) empowers young people to make a difference in their communities while gaining valuable skills for the future. Through hands-on conservation projects, environmental education, and leadership development, MHYC engages youth in meaningful service that improves public lands, supports sustainability, and strengthens local neighborhoods.

As part of the Generation Wild of the Pikes Peak Region Coalition, Mile High Youth Corps offers programs that connect young people with the outdoors through trail construction, habitat restoration, energy and water conservation projects, and community improvement initiatives. Participants work in crews alongside skilled leaders, learning technical skills, building teamwork, and gaining a deeper understanding of environmental stewardship: all while making a tangible impact on Colorado’s natural and built environments.
