YMCA Camp Shady Brook, located in the beautiful mountains of Deckers, Colorado, has been creating unforgettable outdoor adventures for kids and teens for generations. As part of the Generation Wild of the Pikes Peak Region Coalition, Camp Shady Brook offers youth programs that blend outdoor recreation with personal growth. From canoeing, archery, and horseback riding to hiking, arts and crafts, and team-building challenges, every day is designed to inspire curiosity, resilience, and a love for nature. Overnight camps, day camps, and specialty programs provide opportunities for kids of all ages to explore the outdoors, try new things, and discover their own strengths — all while surrounded by Colorado’s breathtaking landscapes.
